I’ve always believed that stories are everywhere. Sometimes they hide in the shade of an old tree, ride on the wings of a butterfly, or wait quietly beside a dusty trail until someone takes the time to notice them.

Writing has been part of my life for years. I’m drawn to the quiet moments that often go unnoticed, the small acts of kindness, unexpected friendships, and gentle reminders that every living thing has value and a story worth telling.

I’ve also always been a dreamer. I’m someone who wonders what might be around the next bend, beyond the mountains, or hidden in the ordinary things we pass every day without really seeing.

I was born in New Mexico, and though I’ve lived in other places, I returned and now call it home once again. Its wide skies, old cottonwoods, desert trails, mountains, and changing seasons have shaped the way I see the world and inspire many of Ginger’s adventures.

When I’m not writing, you’ll often find me listening to music,  painting, finding a certain peace in tending things that bloom, driving without any particular destination, or simply watching the world unfold. I notice the little things and am always looking for the next story, or the next possibility, without waiting for it to be discovered.

Ginger was born from that way of seeing the world. Though she is a character, there is a little of me in her.  Her curiosity, willingness to risk, compassion, imagination, independence, and sense of wonder. She notices things. She asks questions. She dreams. And she often discovers that an adventure doesn’t have to take you very far from home.

Through Ginger’s adventures, I hope readers of every age will slow down, look a little closer, smile a little more often, and leave room for wonder. Most of all, I hope her stories remind us that even the most ordinary places can hold something extraordinary when we take the time to notice.
